Backstory

My interest in computing began ever since I was a child, with me immediately falling in love with my mother's old netbook, looking up different things on the internet, writing fanfics of my favourite cartoons on word, and playing flash games. What really got me into programming, and the idea of making my own software, was even before that, when I made my own board and card games, and even a few video games on paper. I was always interested in how things worked, and how I could make them work. My first "interactive" computer game was actually just a PowerPoint presentation with a hyperlink navigation system, but I was still proud of it.
When I was in 7th grade, I joined a computer science club, where I was first introduced to the world of programming. I immediately started on C++, and even though I was slower than some of my peers, I was still blown away by the possibilities of it, spending countless hours just playing around with it. There I met some of my friends, including Rinri, who was a key figure in my development as a programmer. I was also introduced to the world of competitive programming, Linux and open source software when I was in the club.
Around the time I was in 10th grade, I got a lot better at programming, and my interests spread even more. I began making my first videogame, written in Lua using the LÖVE framework, and I also started learning about web development, and made my first Website and my first game around the same time, and that's also when I learned about Github. The game is still available to download, and it even has multiplayer, so you can try it out!
Nowadays I am still pursuing my interests in programming, and I am currently studying Computer Science at the Nazarbayev University. With recent developments in AI and Machine Learning, I became interested in that field as well, and joined the Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI) as a research assistant.
